G.7 Assessment - studies that provide an understanding of individual and group approaches to assessment and evaluation in a multicultural society, including all of the following:

  1. historical perspectives concerning the nature and meaning of assessment;
  2. basic concepts of standardized and nonstandardized testing and other assessment techniques, including norm-referenced and criterion-referenced assessment, environmental assessment, performance assessment, individual and group test and inventory methods, Psychological testing, and behavioral observations;
  3. statistical concepts, including scales of measurement, measures of central tendency, indices of variability, shapes and types of distributions, and correlations;
  4. reliability (i.e., theory of measurement error, models of reliability, and the use of reliability information);
  5. validity (i.e., evidence of validity, types of validity, and the relationship between reliability and validity);

I identified a client that I have worked with during my internship that I believe would benefit from Psychological testing. I researched the Strong Interest Inventory and described why this test would be appropriate for this client as well as the applicable psychometric properties for this test.

2. Film Character Diagnostic Analysis Click here to Download Character Analysis .pdf

I completed a diagnostic analysis on a fictional character from a film. I described this individual's behavior, history, and other evidence of psychopathology. I analyzed the etiology of this individual's psychopathology, and included a differential diagnosis, and my recommendations for treatment. Additionally, I explored various contextual issues concerning this individual and the era in which this individual existed in.
