Recognition of Land Statement

Let us acknowledge and appreciate the land on which we gather today and its original peoples. This land is the ancestral and homeland of indigenous peoples, including the Spokane, Pend d'Oreille, and Ktunaxa. Let us understand the importance of recognizing and appreciating the histories and cultures, past and present, of these lands and its people.
