Welcome Agency Field Instructors and Task Supervisors - we are so glad you are here!
Field Education is the "signature pedagogy Links to an external site." of Social Work education, and would not be possible without our Agency Field Instructors (AFIs) modeling Social Work skills, knowledge, values and professional ethics in real-life practice settings.
As an AFI, your role will be to help students meet the nine Social Work Competencies Links to an external site. set forth by the CSWE Links to an external site. by providing learning and practice opportunities within practicum to demonstrate use and competency for each skill.
Our AFI Training Course is a self-study course and will provide you with the basic knowledge and tools needed to create an effective Social Work learning experience for students. You may also refer back to this course throughout a student's practicum as needed for guidance and additional resources. NOTE: You do not need to log in or join the course to access the training content. Simply click on the "Modules" link on the side navigation bar to get started!
