EWU Extending Canvas with html formatting

Welcome to extending Canvas with html formatting

A snippet is a small section of text or source code that can be inserted into the code view of a web page.

It's pretty easy to copy and paste any of the provided examples into your course.

tip: Some folks prefer to use a code editor to visualize their edits. We recommend a nice open source editor available in Mac, Win, and Linux flavors.

How to use this resource:

  • Select and copy the code from the Code section from any of the pages to follow.
  • Navigate to your Canvas page or create a new page,
  • Click Edit, then  switch to the HTML Editor ( HTML view in the rich content editor )
  • Paste the code into the page:
  • Switch back to the Rich Content Editor view, and type and format the text into your textbox,
  • Click Save.

I'm ready - let's do this!

Not yet ready to tackle the code?
