GEOL 312-001: Cryst And Opt Min
This second course in a three-course series covers how to describe the external morphology of well-formed crystals using crystallographic techniques. In addition, the techniques of optical mineralogy using a petrographic microscope are introduced as a tool for identifying rock-forming (silicate) minerals.
