Thank you for viewing my ePortfolio. I am currently a second year graduate student in Eastern Washington University's Master of Science in Counselor Education with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling program. Additionally, I am an intern at Frontier Behavioral Health's Adult Outpatient Services. My clinical interests are individual and couples therapy, trauma, grief and loss, and co-occurring disorders.

Career Path

I chose to pursue a career in Mental Health Counseling because I have a desire to help others. I am excited and passionate about counseling and fostering rich therapeutic alliances. Additionally, I am exceptionally curious about human behaviors and social interactions, and I am continuously engaged in learning about what motivates individuals to behave in the ways that they do.

The Purpose of the ePortfolio

My ePortfolio is a compilation of completed documents that demonstrate my professional growth and academic successes supporting my knowledge of the Council for Accrediation Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) standards.

Personal Statement

In addition to graduate school, I am involved in various professional organizations such as the American Counseling Assocation, Washington Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota, and Psi Chi Honor Society. I was involved as a volunteer at Washington Counseling Association's annual conferences for the last two years and served on the committee for the 2016 annual conference. I value the importance of eduation and awareness of mental health in order to eliminate negative connotations associated with mental health issues and to elicit empathy and understanding from individuals and the public as a whole.

Thank you for taking time to review my ePortfolio.

Sincerely,

Keneesha
