Welcome to Module 10 in SPED 470 Special Education Assessment! In this tenth module, we will learn about postsecondary transition planning and assessment. Additionally, you will learn how to graph and interpret CBM data and make appropriate instructional decisions.

At the end of this module, students will be able to:

  1. Describe conceptual framework for secondary education transition as it relates to the assessment of adolescents and young adults. (CO 1)
  2. Name and discuss strategies and approaches for transition assessment. (CO 2, 3)
  3. Identify and describe assessment tools to assist in planning for future employment and adult life. (CO 2, 3)
  4. Discuss person-centered planning when providing transition services. (CO 1)
  5. Discuss student responsibility related to support services in college and other postsecondary education settings. (CO 1)
  6. Identify and describe recommendations for improving transition practices. (CO 1))
  7. Using CBM data, make decisions about students' Tier of instruction (Tier 1, 2, and 3). (CO 5, 6)
