Module Introduction
Welcome to Module 8 in SPED 470 Special Education Assessment! In this eighth module, we will learn about the assessment of mathematics. Additionally, you will learn how to administer, score, and interpret CBM Math Fluency probes, and how to write an educational assessment report.
Module Objectives
At the end of this module, students will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of mathematics assessment in the special education context. (CO 1)
- Describe the KeyMath 3. (CO 2, 3)
- Name and describe two examples of other formal measures. (CO 2, 3)
- Describe curriculum-based measures for mathematics. (CO 2, 3)
- Compare and contrast two examples of other informal assessment procedures. (CO 2, 3)
- Discuss two ways mathematics measures vary when answering the assessment questions. (CO 2, 3)
- Describe how to conduct math CBM. (CO 4)
- Write an educational assessment report. (CO 5, 6)
