Instructions
CEPH 3: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using biostatistics, informatics, computer-based programming, and software, as appropriate.
This assignment will be covered by all course readings from Modules 1-6. There is no time limit to complete and only one attempt. The Respondus LockDown Browser will be used and you must ensure its installed on your computer before beginning the exam. The homework, quizzes, and exams are open book and open note, which means you can use outside print and media sources, but not outside people such as other students, faculty, friends, colleagues, or anyone who could help you (including any website that may attempt to post the answers). Final exam questions requires students to interpret the relevance of output from data analysis and make recommendations for public health. Exam material include descriptive and inferential statistics, calculate mean, median, mode, and range, creating frequency tables, levels of measurement, types of graph, calculate probability, prevalence and incidence, risk and mortality rates. Analyze hypothesis, calculate p-value, and confidence intervals. Determine types of epidemiologic studies. Identify and analyze qualitative data using coding techniques. The final exam consists of both multiple-choice and open-ended questions. Students will use general computer software (Microsoft Excel/Data Analysis Toolpak and Word). You are permitted to use a calculator; however, you are not permitted to use the internet or any electronic browser during the exam. The final exam will open on 2 February 2025 at 12:00 am PST and will close 8 February 2025 at 11:59 pm PST. Correct answers will be provided on 9 February 2025 at 12:01 am PST.
