null Module Introduction


Now that you know some of the basics, we'll spend Week 2 introducing some of the finer details of course management: digging into quiz creation, Speedgrader, and the various communication tools built into Canvas. Additionally, we will provide some information about the Instructional Technology team and the services we provide, and you will be able to schedule an appointment for a one-on-one course consultation!

null Student Learning Objectives 


At the end of this module students will be able to:

  1. Produce course quizzes and question banks.
  2. Manipulate the Canvas grade book to include necessary groups, weighting, and extra credit.
  3. Differentiate between types of instructor-student communication methods.
  4. Create, subscribe, and moderate online discussions throughout the online course in Canvas.
  5. Determine what other available technologies are useful to designing your online course.

Below is an outline of the items for which you will be responsible this week. Activities are divided into three modules. Each module will require between 30 and 60 minutes to complete; we recommend that you break up this workload over the course of a few days.)
